This is the rear area of Rotterdam Street when the old buildings were demolished on Olrig Street to make way for the buildings which now known house the Hydro Board shop and Waters paint shop. Prior to this it was the site of J.Gunn & Co. Original shoe shop in Thurso which opened in 1964 transferring into new development in High St. Oct 1975 and then closed for business Sept 2012. Next door to Gunns shoe shop was SAMs the Baber's and further down was Nobles the fruit shop.
