Black and white photograph of the junction of Traill Street and Cowie Lane. In the distance can be seen the construction of what would later become Lindsay's Ironmongers replacing the old building, with the premises of Shearer's to the left. The gentleman standing at the corner of what is now the Clydesdale Bank is possibly Robbie, a local character who was well know in the town for doing errands using a spanker or sack.
