In the centre is W.Mackays butcher shop ,next door is bottom Joes or Cardosis named after Joe Cardosi who settled in Thurso in the 1920s. On the left one can just see the building that housed the Co-op supermarket with flats above it. On the right is the new shopping arcade with flats above which was completed in 1964. On the right you can see the Woolworth shop, next door is the Town Hall.
